I am always stunned when people talk endlessly about themselves but never ask about anyone else! And the more they talk the less they seem to say. Has politeness and curiosity abandoned our culture? (Semi-rhetorical question) perhaps I should be grateful for these people. They put me on high alert to keep moving in search of more intelligent life.
Perhaps I'm being a bit judgmental here, but I do give the talkative party a chance. And I've come to find it vaguely amusing. Don't they have any curiosity about me? I have some pretty amazing stories and observations. Observations especially since I tend to listen more than I talk. But I doubt they'd find any of that at all interesting.
